BETWEEN STYLISH FURNITURE & EXCLUSIVE LIFESTYLE: MEET JEANNETTE FROM MOORIS.CH
STYLISH FURNITURE + EXCLUSIVE LIFESTYLE: MEET JEANNETTE FROM MOORIS.ch
MOORIS.CH IS THE STYLISH ONLINE PLATFORM FOR FURNITURE AND LIFESTYLE. BEHIND MOORIS IS A COMPETENT AND FRIENDLY TEAM THAT DISCOVERS SELECTED DESIGN PRODUCTS FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFE AND PERSONALLY ADVISES YOU ON ALL FURNISHING QUESTIONS.
Behind Mooris.ch are three good friends with a great sense for beauty - Lea Montini, Frank Urech and Claudio Beffa. The trio has founded the stylish online shop 2012 in Zurich in order to bring selected products closer to design aficionados and furniture lovers in a new, personal and advisory way.
At SPORT.LES we are so proud partnering with Mooris since 2017 doing activewear collaborations at the store, and now also online. Today Mooris is a team of 17 mixed experts from logistics, marketing, text, photography, customer service, styling, purchasing, software development and interior design who call themselves 'Moorisians', and as our today's guest: Jeannette Urech @jaimejeanne, Head of Editorial & Fashion at Mooris.ch.
"Mooris is much more than a 'simple' online shop, but has become a reference platform for selected products from living, design and fashion, which is very aesthetic, personal and competent."
SPORT.LES: What is the best thing about being a “Moorisian”?
JEANETTE: Being at Moorish means being an important part of a whole work conglomerate process. Mooris loves the beautiful, the functioning and the sustainable. Care is very, very important in our work. The very best thing about being a 'Moorisian' is to belong to a community of very different personalities who complement each other perfectly and make Mooris what it is today. I also think it's really great that we, as an independent company, can write our own history and, on our own initiative, can do (and sometimes let go) what we like or don't like.
"Design furniture always has to fit into life, the dwelling and the current need. It is very important that it can be lived, practical and that it does not exist as a current object"
SPORT.LES: What does a typical day in your week look like?
JEANNETTE: I am a running addict and an early bird. So I get up after five o'clock and start my morning jogging session. Then I get my two little boys ready for daycare and kindergarten and off to work. Then, normally there are also fashion shoots with styling, fashion purchasing and sourcing, as well as the meticulous planning of the labels and styles in collaboration with my fashion team and coordination with the 'living' team and marketing. I also write product texts and do other editorial work. After work we eat together at the table with the family and afterwards I do the housework. Too rarely, however, I still meet up with a friend or watch a great film with my husband! On two days a week I try to be fully there for my children.
SPORT.LES: Tell us a little more about your lifestyle: what are your fitness/wellness routines?
JEANNETTE: I've been running since I can think. Actually, before Mooris and the kids I competed in many marathons and was a passionate trail running runner. I also did an ultramarathon in the mountains! Even during my pregnancy I did moderate running until the last day, which helped me tremendously and was very good. Today, running at the level before pregnancy is difficult due to the high amount of time and effort involved - and can wait for later. What has remained is that I want to exercise every day and I can't do without my running, which I usually do very early in the morning and also enjoy doing with the kids. My husband and I have always been on the go with the jogging strollers. It is extremely important to me that my family does not suffer from my passion for running and is neglected. To balance running, I do strength exercises at home and now and then yoga, but I would have to do more about it again.
